Password Protection for the Verification Portal
We are pleased to introduce an important security enhancement to the existing Verification Portal, allowing you to password-protect employee credentials and ensure full alignment with data privacy regulations.
What's New?
- Site-Wide Security:
Secure your existing Verification Portal by requiring an Organization or Venue password before any ID badge QR code data can be viewed. - No Card Reissuance Needed:
Because this operates as a site-wide setting, all existing employee ID cards and QR codes remain fully operational without requiring any reissuance. - Flexible Session Persistence:
Once unlocked, trusted devices can retain access for a configurable period (ranging from 1 to 14 days, set by Account Owners) to streamline compliance checks when scanning multiple staff in succession. - Customizable Instructions:
Tailor the help text and contact instructions displayed on the protection screen using the built-in rich text formatting editor. - Enhanced Data Privacy:
Keep sensitive employee details and qualifications strictly restricted to authorized personnel, supporting your compliance with DPA and GDPR guidelines.
Where to Find It
This setting can be enabled and configured by Account Owners by navigating to the Settings page and selecting the Verification Security tab.
